Alternative Common Names

Prostrate to erect perennial herb to 50 cm high, can be hairy or smooth.
Leaves - mostly on stems, circular to obovate, 8–20 mm long, 5–20 mm wide.
Flowers - in leafy racemes, stalks to 25 mm long. Yellow with brownish markings, with few hairs inside.
Fruit – nearly sphere shaped, 5–7 mm long; seeds oblong, 2–2.5 mm, pale brown, spiny.
Flowering - September–May.

Habitat

Woodland and forest communities.
