spotted emubush,  golden spotted emu bush, swamp fuchsia, native fuchsia.

The Aurea is a densely multi-branched shrub with branchlets upward-slanting, growing to 2.5m.

Leaves - light green.

Flowers - tubular yellow with a pale, spotted throat. These are full of nectar and provide a valuable food source for honeyeating birds. There are also other maculata selections that have pink or reddish flowers.

Flowering from winter to early summer.

Habitat

Well suited to low rainfall dry areas and tolerates humidity. Adaptable to most soil types.
