Grows as a mallee to a height of 5 metres or as a tree to 20 metres and forms a lignotuber (woody swelling of root crown). It has hard, rough, fissured, fibrous grey bark, usually from the base to the small branches.
Leaves - slightly glossy to dull usually green lance-shaped.
Flower - buds are arranged in leaf axils in groups of seven, flowers are white.
Fruit - woody, hemispherical or cup-shaped.
Flowering January, May and December.
Habitat
Grows in infertile sandy soils as part of dry woodland communities
