Shrub 1 to 7 metres tall with sprawling habit. Attracts butterflies and birds.

Leaves - have spines at base, glossy and oval shaped. Milky sap in branchlets and leaves.

Flowers - tubular, five petaled, perfumed and white borne in clusters.

Fruit - edible purplish black berry which is Bush tucker.

Flowering spring.

Habitat

Dry and subtropical rainforest, eucalypt and brigalow communities.
