RISK ASSESSMENT POLICY
CONTROL MEASURES for DOGS at GOONDIWINDI BOTANIC GARDENS

1. Allocated times for people to take their unleashed dogs – unleashed dogs may walk within the Goondiwindi Botanic Gardens, between these times in the designated areas:

   5am to 7am

   5pm to 7pm

2. Unleashed dogs to be wearing a “muzzle”, for owners who wish to walk their unleashed dogs out of the specified hours

3. Goondiwindi Council to be involved in assisting the adherence to the new rules by dog owners who unleash their dogs, without a muzzle, out of hours

4. Police to be contacted should a person sustain serious bites from an unleashed dog

5. Goondiwindi Regional Council to be contacted should a person sustain serious bites from an unleashed dog

6. Incident form to be filled in
